Thirty years ago, the Post marked the independence of the state with an appropriate postage stamp which featured symbolically echoing zurlas and tapans. Today, we are promoting a postage stamp issued in 6000 copies with a face value of 72 denars. Since the very beginning, the Post has been the key player in the postal traffic of the country and we are all deeply convinced that it will remain so”, the Director General Jani Makraduli said at the promotion of the postage stamp issued on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the independence of our country.
“We have decisively introduced changes and become more open and competitive taking the advantage of new opportunities offered by the new technologies. We also see positive developments such as the increase in revenues from postal services in the first semester”.
The promotion of the postage stamp took place in the burned counter hall for which the Director General Makraduli said: “I had no doubts from the very beginning that this space should be a public space incorporated in the “Let’s return the Post to the citizens” concept.
Mr. Zoran Zaev, the Prime Minister, express his gratitude to the Post for the promotion of the commemorative stamp and pointed out that it was a proof of courage and decisiveness of our people to create and live in an independent, prosperous and promising country.
“I hope”, the Prime Minister Zaev continued, “that this postage stamp, which marks the 30th anniversary of independence, will find an appropriate place in the philatelic collections”.
Mr. Ismet Ramadani, a former member of the Parliament, spoke about the role and importance of the Post. He emphasized its significance for the country and called it a mirror of the whole society. “I am convinced that the postal employees will continue to develop this institution with the support of the state”, Ramadani said.
The promotion of the postage stamp -“The 30th anniversary of the independence” was part of the government activities to celebrate this important event.
