Promotion of a postage stamp dedicated to the participation of North Macedonia in the European Football Championship 2020

The Director General Jani Makraduli emphasized at the promotion that this postage stamp is a contribution of the postal employees to the success of our national team and expressed his gratitude for the joy it brought to all of us.

Unfortunately, the selector Igor Angelovski and the players of the Macedonian national football team were not present at the promotion due to the anti-Covid measures although they previously agreed to attend it. ”On behalf of the Post of North Macedonia I wish our national team success at the forthcoming European Championship”, said Makraduli.

Naumče Mojsoski, the Director of the Agency for Youth and Sports of North Macedonia, said that our football heroes deserve such a gesture – a postage stamp issued in their honour. “I hope that we will join our forces before the opening of the European Championship to ensure presence of as many citizens as possible on the stands of the Budapest stadium. As an athlete I know the difference between playing in front of empty and full stands”, said Mojsoski.

Minas Osmani, the former member of the national youth team, also wished success to the football players. “The qualification for the Championship has made many generations’ dreams come true and our country will participate in this great event for the first time. I hope that the whole national team will be in good health and represent us in the best possible way. I would also like to greet Mr. Sejdini, the President of the Football Federation of Macedonia, because his name together with the names of the players and the selector will be written in golden letters on the pages of history for their contribution to football”, said Osmani.

The stamp, having a face value of 181 denars, was issued in 6000 copies.
