Dear Customers,
The website of the JSC Post of North of Macedonia – Skopje offers postal item tracking i.e. checking the status of the incoming and outgoing postal items.
Items that can be tracked include all recorded postal items (registered letters, insured letters, ordinary parcels, insured parcels, express mail, etc.). During the posting phase, they are assigned a unique thirteen-character identifier which, in accordance with the technical standard of the Universal Postal Union S10, has the following structure:
two alphabetic characters denoting the service type (RR, RA, RB, VV, VA, VB, CP, EE) + 9 digits + 2 letters denoting the country of origin of items i.e. MK if the items originate from our country
This alphanumeric identifier corresponds to a barcode which is introduced in order to step up the treatment of items.
If you enter the alphanumeric identifier in the item tracking panel on our website, you can find information about the item in real time.
The item is not in the territory of the Republic of North Macedonia until the indication MKSKP(X) appears in the “from- to” section of the item tracking panel.
When this information appears in the panel, it means that the item has entered our country and undergoes processing in the Main Postal Traffic Centre which includes customs examination by the competent Customs Office of the Customs Administration of the Republic of North Macedonia.
After the processing in the Main Postal Traffic Centre, the item is dispatched to the office of destination which is responsible for the delivery. Following the delivery of the item, the postal code of the delivery office appears in the item tracking panel with a note that the item has been delivered.
The system also records leaving an advice to the recipient that the item is in the office of destination after an unsuccessful delivery attempt. It also ensures tracking until the item is delivered i.e. returned to the posting office in case it was not picked up after the expiry of the prescribed period of retention.
