“Employees do not have to worry about their jobs and the financial situation of the Company. Today, salaries have been paid to all 2400 employees within the legally set deadline”, the Director General Jani Makraduli said at the press conference which was held after his meeting with the Trade Union of the Post of North Macedonia and the Trade Union of the Macedonian Post.
The payment of salaries by months in the current year is the following:
January 2021 – 01.02.2021
February 2021 – 03.03.2021
March 2021 – 01.04.2021
April 2021 – 29.04.2021
May 2021 – 04.06.2021
June 2021 – 01.07. 2021
July 2021 – 05.08.2021
August 2021 –07.09.2021
Since 11 November 2020, the Management Board has signed 87 new contracts with new customers. E-commerce has been introduced and now 14 clients are selling their products through the platform of the Company. Flexible delivery has been established, investments have been made and a post office offering a new service called “Get your purchases delivered right to your door” will soon be opened in the newly built East Gate Mall..
“Given all these services, we assured the Trade Unions that there was no need to worry about the future and convinced the employees that they should have no concerns about their jobs and salaries”, Makraduli emphasized.
In the first six months of the year, there was an increase in the revenues from the postal services. The revenues from the letter-post services rose by 10.3 million denars, whereas the revenues from the parcel services grew by 1.7 million denars. There was also an increase in the sale of postage stamps with the revenues growing by 0.9 million denars.
Regarding the payment operations which were impeded i.e. they were not performed at all due to the bankruptcy of the Eurostandard Bank, efforts have been made to revive them with the Halkbank; however, there are still losses compared to last year.
“Several million transactions have already been made and around 50 million denars earned from the commission charged by the Bank retaining 29% for itself and giving 71% to the Post which is much more in comparison with the previous period when we had a contract with the Eurostandard Bank. In addition to this, 70 million denars were paid to the companies in the first nine months which is by 30 millions more compared to 2020. The Trade Unions were informed about this and conclusions were made in relation to their demands. We shall solve the problems together as partners “, Makraduli said.
Makraduli also announced that talks will be held with the Trade Unions concerning salary increase after the announcement that the minimal salary will reach 18 000 denars as of 1 January 2022.
