DELIVERY OF HUMANITARIAN AID COLLECTED FOR THE AFFECTED PEOPLE IN ALBANIA

In accordance with the decision taken by the Managing Board on January 13, 2010, Makedonska posta joined the humanitarian action to help the population of the flooded region in the neighboring Albania. As of January 14, 2010, the citizens of the Republic of Macedonia could contribute and show their humanity by bringing their aid to any postal network unit of Makedonska posta. Items containing humanitarian aid bear special labels and are exempted from postal charges. A total of 114 parcels weighing 1410 kg have been collected up to now in the humanitarian action organized by Makedonska posta throughout the country. The aid provided by the citizens included clothes, shoes and blankets. The humanitarian aid will be transported to the Qafasan border crossing today by a Makedonska posta vehicle and delivered to the representatives of the Albanian Post who will distribute it further to the flood affected persons. Makedonska posta takes this opportunity to express its gratitude to all citizens who joined this action and inform them that they may also make further contributions and bring their aid to the post offices throughout the Republic of Macedonia.
